Join the Friends of Harington for a day in the Cotswolds, visiting two beautiful gardens near Cirencester which are rarely open to the public.
Daglingworth House has a classical garden offering wonderful vistas and a humorous contemporary twist, with water features, a temple and a grotto. The garden surrounds a Georgian house and lies next to the historic Holy Rood Church with its rare Saxon carvings.
After lunch at a pub nearby we’ll visit the Coach House Garden, whose 1.5 acres are divided into rooms, including a rill garden and a garden filled with old-fashioned roses. Its owners will give us tea and cake before we return to Highgate.
The coach departs from Highgate at 9am, returning 6-6.30pm.
This lovely day out will cost you £30 plus lunch; please book your place quickly with Caroline Simpson: caroline.simpson10@btinternet 020 8341 3135.
