Vocational Trainer/Assessor (Horticulture and Employability)

Full time 37.5 hours per week

25 days holiday per year

 Grade B £24,996-£27,774

The Harington Scheme is a small charity based in Highgate, North London. It has a excellent reputation and track record in delivering high quality skills training and work experience opportunities to young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. We are seeking a motivated team player with a caring approach to deliver horticultural and employability skills training, assess learning and mentor learners as part of a small team of trainers.

To be suitable for this role you must have:

Relevant horticultural qualifications and/or proven experience of horticultural work

The ability to provide effective employability skills (or retail) and horticutural training. 

A full teaching qualification (DTLSS/PGCE/Cert Ed)

Experience of teaching, training or coaching others

A good standard of English, Maths and ICT Skills

Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of health and safety

A commitment to equality and safeguarding

As the post involves working with children and vulnerable adults, appointment will be subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure with barred list checks.
